Selling or Liquidating Your Collection?

Sooner or later we all (or our families) will all be faced with having to sell our collections. This might be the result of either of the "big three" - Death, Divorce or Taxes. You might be looking to sell for the reason of simply wanting to reduce your debt.

Rather than selling your collection to other dealers or other collectors for pennies on the dollar, let Oakleaf Militaria represent your collection to the collecting community. Yes it's consignment but having to sell your collection can be as frustrating (and time consuming) to you or your estate as the efforts you put into gathering your coveted pieces. It can also be painfully expensive to your estate if not handled properly.

Many dealers will "cherry-pick" your prized pieces leaving the less desirable items up to you (or your family) to sell. Not only will they "cherry-pick" but they will also pay you less than "market value".

Oakleaf Militaria will determine what exactly it is you have and determine, through our experience, what the true market value is. On the other hand, I will also be responsible for sorting out the "errors" (reproductions, etc.) that you might have made along the collecting path. I will advise you (or your family) of this as well. As Oakleaf Militaria, I am looking to present high quality, authentic Third Reich items to the collecting community. Yes, I'll take your black wound badges but please realize these are not "fast movers".

As the party responsible, I am not looking to buy your items as this would be a "conflict of interest". I do this for a fee, which is 20% of the realized selling price. The more I can sell it for, the more you (or your estate) will get in return. Also, I will earn more.

If Oakleaf agrees to present your collection to the community, I will work to authenticate the inventory, present you with a complete inventory of what you have, determine its value, have it photographed (my expense as part of my fee), list the items on the Oakleaf Militaria website and present payment of sold items in the form of Oakleaf checks.

Please contact me and let me represent your interests.
