Consignment

We welcome consigned pieces for sale by Oakleaf Militaria. Please consider that Oakleaf Militaria will inspect all pieces with the same scrutiny as if this were being added for its' own collecting purposes. Therefore, we require full disclosure of any repairs or replacement of insignia, etc. to any piece considered for consignment.

If we have any questions regarding authenticity or condition of the piece, we will send that piece to a "resource individual" for their opinion at our own expense and fully insured. If in the opinion of the other collector/dealer the considered piece is questionable, the item will be returned to you at your expense and not offered for purchase. This is intended to encourage consignors to take responsibility for the authenticity of their offered pieces.

Our intent is to offer a site that features only high quality pre-1945 militaria.

When considering the asking price of a piece for consignment, please consider that Oakleaf Militaria will be responsible for evaluation, writing the description, photography and the cost of running a business (including taxes).

To this end, I require a 20% margin included in your asking price, or a negotiated amount at the time it is presented to Oakleaf Militaria. Oakleaf Miltaria may purchase the item at that time (after all, we are collectors).

If your item is sold via the website, you will be paid either with a cash receipt or by company check. Please allow time for the purchaser's five (5) day inspection and return privileges.
