Kriegsmarine officer's sword with original portepee and very rare triple
etched by F.W. Holler. This is one of the nicest Kriegsmarine swords
I have ever had. This sword features a deeply cast lionshead pommel
with the lion having one green and one red glass eyes. The artificial
ivory grip is tightly wire wrapped with age spidering. It looks great
and lends character. The basket features a deeply cast fouled
anchor. The obverse of the blade features an etched panel with
a battleship, a biplane with floats and another ship of the
line. There also appears the not often seen Kriegsmarine eagle
and swastika superimposed over an anchor. On the reverse of
the blade the panel features a cruiser, biplane with floats
and a U-Boat. The U-Boat is rarely seen on Kriegsmarine
edged weapons. The upper edge of the blade is etched with
a more generic pattern. The scabbard 's brass metal
fittings are in excellent condition as is the leather. The
original silver thread portepee has tarnished to a deep
golden color and shows appropriate wear. This wonderful
sword is a beautiful, collectible piece in itself but
the etched panels are really fantastic showing excellent
detail down to the flags….$3999. More Pictures |

Kriegsmarine officer's dagger with portepee by Adolf Braun. Adolf Braun is a rare maker
of KM daggers. This dagger features a deep orange grip that contrasts nicely with the
original gold cord portepee. The twistcord wire wrap is tight. The red felt buffer is
intact. The portepee shows minor fraying but that's fine. It lends to the originality
of the overall piece. The brass pommel cap, lower crossguard and scabbard all show nice
age patina having lost the original gilt finish which is common on KM daggers. The
blade is mostly mirror finished and in very good condition but has areas of minor
lifting of the finish mostly near the tip. Rare maker and very collectible. $1,895. More Pictures |

Kriegsmarine officer's dagger by WKC - named. This fine example features the officer's name
etched into the reverse upper blade - "Schmielau" but I'll get to that shortly. The
stylized KM pommel cap retains a good portion of its original gilt finish. The grip
shows a nice age patina with a tight grip wire. The lower crossguard fittinf, like the
eagle, retains some its original finish. yThe scabbard has an uneven patina There are
no dings. This dagger also features the kind of lower crossguard "push-button". The
blade is in excellent but not mint condition. The acid etch features the sailing ship
motif. On the reverse is the engraved officer's name - "Schmielau". It's rare to
fine KM daggers with the owner's name. It might be worth doing the research on the
officer. The bright blade has a couple of very minor dark spots. It's still a
highly collectible piece. $1,800. More Pictures |

Kriegsmarine officer's dagger with pebbled scabbard by Alcoso. This dagger features the
standard naval eagle pommel and anchor lower crossguard. The wire wrap grip is tight. The
pebbled scabbard is one feature that makes this a relatively rare piece. There are two
very minor indentations along the upper edge of the scabbard. The blade features on each
side an acid etched panel showing a sailing ship. This further adds to the rarity of
the dagger. There are several darkened areas and minor nicks along the edge. A rare
KM piece regardless with the pebbled scabbard and sailing ship motif. $1250. More Pictures |

Kriegsmarine officer's dagger with portepee by by Paul Weyersberg. This dagger features
a nicely patinaed ivory colored celluloid grip with a tight wire wrap. The pommel eagle
and lower crossguard show a fair amount of original gilt and good detail. The scabbard
is the standard pattern without dings and shows normal wear to its finish. The portepee
is tied in the KM fashion. The blade features the standard acid etched, fowled
anchors on each side of the blade's panels. Kriegsmarine daggers are becoming more
difficult to find in this condition. $1500. More Pictures |
