Japanese Helmets & Headgear

083jh1-1small.jpg (36140 bytes) 083jh1 - Japanese Navy Field Cap. This un-issued olive drab cotton cap features a cloth oval with a yellow anchor indicating the Imperial Japanese Navy. The cap has three machine sewn air grommets on each side of the upper cap body. There is a decorative cloth chinstrap factory sewn to the front above the cloth visor. At the back of the cap are four grommets through which a cotton lace passes through for size adjustment. The interior features a cloth sweatband and manufacturer's stamp. $280.  More Photos
  
  
0712jh1-1small.jpg (36140 bytes) 0712jh1 - Japanese Naval Landing Forces helmet. This helmet features a yellow stenciled anchor on the front indicating Navy Landing Forces. This helmet features green finish showing normal wear. The interior features a complete leather liner with the ties showing use, The cotton tie that runs the circumference of the helmet that ends as the chinstrap is frayed and has separated completely near one of the rings that it passes through. Japanese Naval Landing Forces helmets are rare. This is a recent (as of this writing) vet acquisition. $1100.  More Photos
  
  
079jh2-1small.jpg (36140 bytes) 079jh2 - Imperial Japanese Marines helmet. This very rare Japanese helmet features magnetic insignia with an anchor and chrysanthemum indicating Marines. This is one of the rarest Japanese helmets. The padded leather liner is original and complete. There is a painted Japanese character under the liner. $1650.  More Photos
  
  
079jh1-1small.jpg (36140 bytes) 079jh1 - Imperial Japanese Naval Landing Forces helmet with net. This very rare WWII Japanese helmet was purchased at a hotel buy in Huntington, W.V. a number of years ago. The helmet features an anchor affixed to the front. There is a scratched anchor that extends beyond the brass (?) anchor. The helmet shows use. He net is original to the helmet and has separated at a number of the sections. It hangs on the helmet and gives it character. The chin ties and liner are complete. The light brown exterior paint shows wear. A great example of a rare Japanese helmet. $ $1150.  More Photos
