133RUSH1 - Red Army "Budenovka" winter hat. This rare Russian Army hat features olive-brown wool with quilted visor and fold-down ear flaps and neck protector. The interior displays a quilted liner with printed cotton fabric (repetitive patterns of melons, grapes and other fruit). The front displays a large red star cut from lighter-weight fabric on a machine-sewn to front. A convex metal red star (cloisonee enamel w/metal hammer & sickle superimposed) is affixed. There are two pair of small convex metal buttons with an embossed rim and hammer & sickle (olive-brown finish) and pair of short thin leather tabs to fasten flaps up or close around neck.
