Extremely rare Italian paratroop ( Folgore Div. ) tunic with shirt and combat knife

1111U1 - Extremely rare Italian paratroop ( Folgore Div. ) tunic with shirt and combat knife. The Fogore Div. ( comprised of 3,000 men) never reached full division strength. The Folgore was one of two well-trained and equipped Italian paratroop formations that fought in Africa. The other being the Nembo Div. This heavily sun bleached Sahariana style tunic with matching heavy cotton belt features sergeant rank insignia over the upper left breast area and paratroop collar tabs. The sleeve insignia of the Italian paratroops is machine sewn on the upper left sleeve. The two upper breast pockets and two lower hip pockets are pleated. The tunic fastens with four gray plastic buttons. The matching cotton belt is secured with three buttons. The tunic exhibits dark areas where the tunic was protected from the sun by a cross strap or an ammunition/equipment harness for a carbine or Beretta SMG. Sewn in to the top buttonhole is a ribbon for the German Iron Cross 2nd Class awarded prior to 1943. Each sleeve cuff is secured with an olive green plastic button. The interior is well marked with the maker and size and 1941 dated. The white cotton pullover shirt displays use and combines well with the tunic. Accompanying the tunic and shirt is an Italian combat knife that bears the Folgore’s motto, “ SEMPRE AVANTI” ( Always Advancing ). The knife features a brown wooden grip secures with three rivets. The blade proudly displays the aforementioned motto. The blade is in excellent condition having no rust , dark spots or pitting. 1101ITALU1 - Italian World War II Army Captain of Artillery tunic. This tunic features high quality gray gabardine material the collar rank insignia is piped with golden-yellow and displays a single star. The upper two breast pockets are scalloped and pleated. The two lower hip pockets are deep. The tunic's front closure is fastened by four (4) gray plastic buttons. All buttons match. On the lower right and left sleeves are the rank insignia indicating captain's rank The tunic shows wear particularly in the interior collar area and along the bottom front hemline near the opening. There are minor nips on the lower left hip pocket. There is also staining along the lower front hem. The interior is lined in rayon and displays honest period wear and is unmarked. 1101ITALU2 - Italian Infantry captain's tunic and breeches. This matched set features high quality gabardine wool wool fabric with the appropriate rank imsignia of a colonel. The collar insignia displays the rank insignia of a colonel. The two breast pockets and two hip pockets are straight-cut flaps and pleated. On each sleeve are the gold braid rank stripes of a colonel. The interior is lined with artificial silk and is unmarked. The tunic is in excellent condition having no mothing or stains. The matching gabardine breeches features black wool felt felt stripes that extend the length of the leg with yellow piping down the center. $850. More Photos
