119EW1 - Army officer’s dress dagger by Robert Klass. This dagger comes directly from the veteran Major Mario “Moose’ Estrada who fought with the 526th Armored Infantry Battalion in Normandy and Battle of the Bulge. This dagger features a deep orange celluloid grip that has a home-repaired crack at its base near the lower crossguard. The upper pommel cap displays excellent detail in the cast oak leaf design. The lower crossguard eagle likewise shows excellent detail. Robert Klass is considered one of the foremost Solingen makers of edged weapons. The pebbled aluminum scabbard and the dagger fittings all show matching finishes. The blade is missing 1/8 inch of its tip. There are several areas of minor loss of the mirror finish. The blade has been oiled in an attempt to preserve it. Please don’t oil blades. Rather keep them stored or displayed in a low humidity environment ( 50% or lower). The dagger comes with a letter provided by Major Estrada and a photograph of him displaying his war trophy. This dagger is part of the SS enlisted belt and buckle set and the Polizei trumpet banner featured on Oakleaf. The dagger comes with its original aluminum portepee. Of special interest, Major Estrada has provided a photocopy of himself holding the dagger, a notarized letter of authenticity and a photocopy of the soldier wearing the dagger he traded a Mauser pistol for – Ernie P. Garcia of Company “A’ of the 526th. Wearing a captured German Army uniform with visor hat with the same dagger suspended from his belt by the portepee. $700. More Photos |

0712EWS4 - Heer Kavallerie Regt. No. 5 officer's dovehead, triple engraved sword by Carl Eickhorn. This early model Eickhorn Nr. 1312, features crossed sabers on the obverse langet indicating cavalry. I suppose the beautifully etched panel on the blade that reads "Kavallerie Regt. No. 5" might be a give-away too. The pommel, backstrap, quillon and qullion base all have a deeply etched repeating oak leaf motif. It's beautifull to see this Eickhorn detail. The blade features the Kavallerie Regt. 5 designation making it an early piece. It would be worth looking the unit as a research project. The reverse of the unit panel side inscription features another acid etched panel featuring a beautifully detailed two small Wehrmacht eagles flanking single riders and another showing mounted cavalry. The blade has areas where the mirror finish has been lost or grayed but it's the etching and history of this piece that give it the significance. 088EW15 - Ground Rohm by E. Pack & Son. This early SA (it would have to be in order for it to be a Ground Rohm), features early nickel fittings with a copper SA button and nicely detailed eagle. The brown hardwood grip shows loss of the brown finish probably caused by wear and use. The upper and lower crossguards are unmarked. The scabbard shows a typical finish reflecting age but there is no rust or peppering. The blade is still bright with a deeply etched, unburnished SA motto. The reverse shows that this was a ground Rohm. I suspect the removal was not factory done but I've seen "rougher" jobs. The E.P. & S. maker's mark has had a slight loss itself. 081EW2 - SA Dagger RZM M7/42 (WKC). This beautiful example is unissued. It is a plated model with an early SA grip botton and an aluminum eagle. The silver plated finish to the upper and lower crossguard is bright except for some minor lifting on the reverse lower crossguard. The scabbard's original brown paint would be hard to find in better condition as is the condition of the silver upper and lower scabbard fittings. The blade is a beauty. The motto is deeply burnished and in mint condition. There is the least amount of minor in and out wear with also very minor areas of graying. This does not detract from the near mint condition of the blade. This would be a difficult example to upgrade. $1150. More Photos |

0711EW1 - NSKK enlisted with hanger by Johan Leupold (rare maker). This excellent example was originally an SA that was period repainted after the owner joined the NSKK. The black repaint was well done and is evidenced by traces of the paint on the inner lip of the upper scabbard fitting. There is no question that this was period done judging by the paint and patina of the scabbard. The dagger features beautiful, rich textured reddish brown grip and a finely detailed nickel silver grip eagle. The richly patinaed upper and lower crossguard fittings leave no question that this piece hasn't been apart or cleaned. The period paint shows normal wear but has no detracting rust or wear. The lower scabbard fitting's ball does have some dents and a minor stress crack. This does not detract from the overall display of the piece. The reverse of the lower crossguard is group stamped "Fr" (Franken). Attached to the scabbard is a two piece original hanger. The brown leather shows mild aging but looks great with the piece. The lower crossguard has a deeply cast panel featuring the Red Cross insignia with an eagle with swastika on its breast feathers holding the international symbol of the Red Cross. The blade would be hard to upgrade being in excellent condition. $1895. More Photos |

088EW9 - Fireman's double marked dress bayonet by Tiger, Georg Keller. This is one of the finest examples of a Fireman's bayonet I have ever seen. The silver upper pommel and lower crossguard are 100% with the bright silver finish. The silver rivets and checkerboard grip plates are perfect. The frog is near mint. The black painted scabbard would be hard to upgrade. The blade is also minty with the Tiger maker's mark on one side and the name George Heller., Munchen on the other. Beautiful! $450. More Photos |

088EW8 - Police bayonet (short version) with steel sheath by Puma. This fine example features stag grips with a wreathed, aluminum Polizei eagle. The eagle head pommel is deeply cast showing excellent detail. The rivets are tight that hold the stag grip plates. The sheath has "74" stamped on the upper and lower scabbard fittings on the reverse side. The black painted sheath shows wear to the finish where the frog rubbed. The blade is a beauty having no rust or pitting, darkened areas, etc. This would be hard to upgrade and it's rare. $$975. More Photos |

082EW4 - K98 police bayonet with scabbard dated 1937 w/frog. This is an excellent example of a police bayonet as designated by the "b" nomenclature. This piece features the original bluing in excellent condition showing virtually no age. The wood grip plates have a great hardwood finish. The reverse side of the upper scabbard shows the date and matching "S" numbers. $550. More Photos |

082EW5 - Short fireman's bayonet with original frog. This nice example retains nicely plated silver surfaces that are often gone on these dress bayonets. The black bakelite grips have a nice checkerboard pattern with no chips or cracks. The unmarked blade shows normal in and out wear and no rust. The brown frog shows normal age and wear. $150. 082EW6 - K98 bayonet with "commercial" scabbard by Paul Weyersberg. This beautiful piece features deep brown bakelite grip plates. The bluing on the blade is in near perfect condition. The lower crossguard is waffen stamped with the eagle and "B" indicating issuance to the police. The scabbard has no markings indicating this to be an earlier made piece. The obverse of the blade has a serial number of "2555". Rare and in great condition. $450. More Photos |

082EW7 - Double engraved Fireman's bayonet with frog and knot by Alcoso. This is one rare piece. This dress bayonet features all the components of a standard fireman's dress bayonet but here the description begins - the double etched panels are dedicated to the "Remembrance of his service days with the Munich Fire Department" The obverse panel is highlighted by a fireman's helmet with a swastika. This is very rare to find. The reverse panel has three small areas of where the plating has deteriorated where the Munich Fire Department is inscribed. I can't emphasize enough how rare this etched bayonet is. $2850. More Photos |

081EW14 - RAD Leader's dagger by WKC. This dagger features a complete white celluloid grip with the stylized RAD eagle head at the pommel. There are some minor nicks to the head but no serious lifting that often accompanies these silver plated pieces. The blade is in near mint condition with a deeply etched motto. The scabbard still retains some of its original varnish. This is an excellent example. $2450. More Photos |

081EW5 - Hitler Youth knife with motto dated 1937 by J.A. Henckels and RZM marked. These HJ knives with mottos are getting harder to find. It's really exciting to find one that is not only dated with a motto but one that has an RZM code along with a maker's mark. This knife features a complete "diamond" and excellent, unchipped checkerboard grip. There is wear to the silver finish along the grip's top and spine areas. So what! This piece is unsharpened and has a lightly etched motto. The original buffer is intact. The blade has no rust or pitting. It has normal in and out wear. The sheath is anodized. The leather hanger and belt with snap closure is intact but shows age cracking. Becoming rarer. $850. More Photos |

0710EW26 - Red Cross subordinate hewer with frog. This example comes complete with the hard to find frog. The frog is missing one of the rivets. The grip is free of cracks and chips. The Red Cross eagle on the lower crossguard has excellent detail. The scabbard paint has normal scratches and wear. The blade is in very good condition having areas light "smudging". Don't touch the blades and if you do, wipe them clean with a soft cloth immediately. Red Cross hewers are becoming increasingly hard to find as ones in this condition disappear into collections. $1050. More Photos |

0710EW18 - RAD Leader's hewer. This an excellent example showing a high amount of original lacquer. The stylized pommel eagle has no lifting to the head and has excellent detail. The white age patinaed grip plate on the obverse side shows a "Y" shaped hairline crack which is common to these beautiful daggers. The lower crossguard displays the RAD emblem with good detail. Blade shows llight graying in areas but this does not detract from the overall appearance. The RAD motto, "Arbeit adelt" is deeply etched with excellent background burnishing. The scabbard displays much of the original factory lacquer which is not common and good to see. However, there are areas where the silver finish has worn off towards the tip of the obverse side. Given the condition of the rest of the hewer and the age yellowing caused by the lacquer this is barely noticeable. $2495. More Photos |

0710EW17 - RAD subordinate hewer with Full stag grips by Carl Eickhorn. RAD's are becoming harder to find at shows as they disappear into collections. This hewer is made more rare by having the "full-stag" grips. Typically, we see the stylized eagle' head in partial metal. The earlier ones came with "full-stag". This dagger also has a stamped number 107 preceded by a worn "Fu" for Fuehrer or leader. Not an officer hewer but probably an NCO carried this piece. The obverse of the scabbard shows good but worn silver plating to the fittings. The reverse shows that the silver plating on the upper scabbard fitting is pretty worn probably due to carrying. The black painted scabbard has lost much of its original paint. The blade has grayed significantly, having lost much of its original finish. There is no rust or pitting. The small Eickhorn squirrel further indicates early manufacture. The motto "Atbeit adelt" (work ennobles), is deeply etched but has lost its burnish. This is a rare piece even with consideration given to its worn appearance. $1675. More Photos |

This example features a checkerboard grip plate on the obverse side and a smooth bakelite grip plate on the reverse. The lower crossguard has the Red Cross eagle with the swastika on its breast clutching the red cross. The blade is clean. Under the reverse crossguard is stamped Ges. Geschultz. The scabbard shows normal wear to its original finish. $975. More Photos |

0710EW3 - Rural Police Bayonet by Weyersberg. This bayonet features beautiful stag grip plates and grip eagle. The plates are accented by the stylized eagle's head pommel and oak leaf motif on the lower crossguards. There are the letters GTr. 5920 stamped on the reverse of the lower guard. The brown leather scabbard indicates "rural police". The blade on this is bright except for some darkening towards the tip. The obverse of the blade shows a stamped knight's head. The reverse is stamped "Weyersberg, Kirchbaum…". The frog is stamped and dated 1928. It was common to use pre-Third Reich police bayonets and convert for use by the Third Reich police by affixing the eagle and shortening the blade. This one has a shortened blade. A great piece. $875.
