The full front panel features the Kaiser in portrait with a kneeling 'mustektier" on one side and a waving musketeer on the other. The regiment's number 168 is evident on the center panel The company roster is listed on the rear of the stein. The pewter lid features a soldier hoisting his stein in good cheer. This 12 ¼ inches tall porcelain stein features central portraits of King Ludwig III of Bayern and Prinz Rupprecht of Bayern. Centered between the portraits is the "9 " representing the 9th Regiment. On each side of the portraits are scenes depicting the unit's military life. The colors are bright and vivid. On the rear is the unit roster carrying the names of personnel.
